Ocean Liner History and Stories from the Sea, Past and Present. With an In Depth focus on Holland America Line

05 Feb. 2017; Short Update.

A short update:

Although I had originally published a date of 1 Febr., to return to sea and to start blogging again, however due to some “dental challenges” this had to be postponed to Febr. 18. First ship still being the Eurodam.

I have updated my sailing schedule (still subject to extremely much change) and also uploaded the bio’s of the two captains of the Oosterdam under current captains and the bio’s of Captain van Roosendaal and Captain Slierendregt under captains from the past.

One ship has been added, the emigrant ship ss Groote Beer.

Best regards

Capt. Albert

  1. Captain Alberts,
Sorry about your ”dental hell ”issues…..hopefully, the leftovers effects will be minimal.I’m sure everyone of your followers will agree you are worth the wait for another 2 weeks.
We’re all looking forward to 18FEB on EURODAM.
    Cheers

  2. Good to have you “almost back” Captain Albert. I start to have severe withdrawal symptoms when you are gone too long.
I know all about dental challenges. Don’t know if it is an option/issue, but go for the implants, they’re expensive but great.
Looking forward to your return to the “bridges”…..Ruud

  3. Looking forward to your return. Nicely said, Captain: “dental challenges”. Not pleasant to physically experience nor pleasant to one’s bank account.

I’m joining Claude’s comment, Captain. Wait until you start grinding healthy teeth clear in half from top to bottom (alright, only one)!
That is, lasered out of its socket!
Can you tell I’m having fun … Take care, Captain. Heal up properly before you go into other kinds of headaches.

(Seems my first try didn’t work)
    I’m joining claude’s comment, Captain.
Wait until you crack a perfectly healthy tooth from top to bottom by grinding in your sleep.
I mean, getting the thing lasered out of its socket. Can you tell I’m having fun, Captain?!
Do heal up properly before going back to work and possibly facing some other kind of headaches …

  6. So glad you are returning to us with that wonderful smile which can light up the place, should you be in the mood to use it ! :-)). I am glad you are back: your blog is the best company for me while again fighting , this time cancer methastases. One does need reliable, interesting reading to forget what’s on the plate.
