Captain J.G Dekker.

This is the first photo I have been able to find. Taken as part of a groups photo in 1917 at Falmouth England. Due to the First world war and the strict ships inspections going on, especially for neutral ships, there were 27 Dutch ships and captain at anchor near the port. They all got together on request of Captain Korver and the founded there the Dutch Captains Society.  Captain Dekker was at that moment in command of the ss Maasdijk.

I am still researching his biography as there was also a  Jan Pieter Dekker who was a ships captain in the 1960’s.
