Ocean Liner History and Stories from the Sea, Past and Present. With an In Depth focus on Holland America Line

26th July 2009

Hello readers,
Lesley here, Albert’s wife at home in England .

Just in case you were wondering what had happened to Alberts daily entry here is why you are not seeing it.

At the moment they are way above the arctic circle as you will all know and so they will have run out of satellite signal for a few days, the same thing happened to me on a small cruise ship I was working on a couple of years ago when we went so far north.

I expect them to be back in coverage in a day or two.

  1. Thank you for letting us know. I am so used to reading Captain Albert’s blog that I was wondering why we had heard nothing from him for several days. I am looking forward to his updates.

  2. Now that’s what I call “a real marriage”, when the wife can “pinch-hit” for her captain husband. Keep it going. Joe W.

    Hi Leslie,

I missed reading the Captain’s log and thank you for explaining why we are not getting it.

I hope you will change your mind and join the ship when Ray and I are on again Sept. 20th for 28 days or Nov. 25 for 26 days.

It was very nice meeting you and hope we will meet again.

    Ingrid

Many thanks, Lesley! I didn’t think too much of it since your husband has been several times extremely busy on this Princely ship 🙂 Learned something new again, though; such as no satelite signals – nice to see something you wrote 🙂
