Although on leave I have not been idle with working on my blog. I have uploaded in four parts an outline of the history of Holland America.

These pages can be found under the tab at the top of the blog called HAL history and its ships Past and Present.

Enjoy your reading.

    Oef Captain!
Yes, so good to find a sign of life of yours. You’ve spoiled your readers with webpages that click like clockwork, and have an experienced and dedicated Captain/author at the helm.

  3. Rich, here is what the Captain wrote in an earlier blog about his schedule.

“If all goes according to schedule I will be on the Prinsendam in late March for week to get a feeling for the ship with docking and undocking. Then I will join her as captain on April 30 in Fort Lauderdale.”

  4. Hello Captain Albert (by the way my name is also Alberto).

I am from Chiapas, Mexico (you’ve been here). I like the way in which you want to share your experience with common people. I like to read all of them. Actually, I am also related to Cruises. I work for the tour operator at Puerto Chiapas. I would like to be able (if possible) to know you face to face. Since you are coming on May 7th (if i am not wrong) I would really like to shake hands with you. Believe me, it would be a great experience for me.

I appreciate the attention paid to this e-mail.

    Sincerelly yours.
    Alberto Reyes
